About Us :

When Mikey, our ridiculous black lab pitbull mutt, was adopted, it changed our lives. We adopted him from a kill shelter in Atlanta and raised him ever since he was a 10 pound pup with a slight case of kennel cough and poor manners. Aside from the pooping, peeing, and endless chewing (did I mention that he pooped on the floor inside the house?) he was our first child and taught us a bit about love and compassion. After three years and hundreds of toys, I’ve never once regretted the decision about saving his life. The toys however, were another story.

Looking at our collection of annihilated plush toys, we thought, “There has to be a better way!” The toys were tattered and gross, covered in “the brown” (slang for stuff I can’t figure out), and all out Nasty. They didn’t last and we were always replacing them.

Mikey didn’t like “tough” toys. He preferred soft plush toys. Those tough toys sat on the floor untouched, but he quickly ripped the head off of a stuffed turtle within minutes. In that moment we realized that there had to be other dogs just like Mikey.

We started Dog Nasty to satisfy what we thought were unfulfilled needs of dog owners and dogs by the dog toy industry, and we hope to provide the kind of product experience that Mikey would be proud of. We also started Dog Nasty as a way to give back and save some animals. We figure if you’re a dog lover, and you’re about to buy a toy, you might just want to take the opportunity to help other dogs that are in need of a good home at the same time as choosing a great toy for your own Mikey. Since we donate portions from our sales to support non-kill shelters and animal rescues, your Dog Nasty purchases will help make other dogs and dog lovers happier too!

That’s what Dog Nasty is all about. Please read the FAQ and as always, feel free to send us questions via email: info@dog-nasty.com

FAQ :

Why is the name of your company Dog Nasty?

We wanted an aggressive name for trend setting customers with dogs that were just not satisfied with the rainbow kiddy weak toys out there. Our toys represent the young, the wild, and the free. People like us have dogs that like to party. We represent that by saying Dog Nasty. Nasty as in good. If you don't get it now, you never will.

Why aren't your toys stuffed?

Stuffing is actually the primary reason why your plush dog toys get so filthy. The fibers do not retain their shape, so if you wash your nice fluffy stuffed bear, it comes out of the wash as a pile of mush. Those fiber blends are environmentally straining, require chemical compounds to create, can be an irritant for your dog, and are a hotbed for dust mites and other funky bacteria. Needless to say, we don't use fiber stuffing. We prefer you stuff your toys with items such as old socks that don't have a matching pair. I know you have some of those.

Why don't your toys come with a squeaker?

A squeaker can quickly become a choking hazard when your dog is unsupervised. Since our toys are designed to be opened, torn apart, and reassembled we would rather not provide a squeaker. If you're playing with your dog, a squeaker should not be a problem.

What should I put inside of my Dog Nasty dog toy?

Another Dog Nasty dog toy of course! Seriously, anything that you wouldn't mind your dog finding such as a treat, another one of his favorite toys like one that has been torn apart, a sock ... the list really goes on and on. What we like to do is take a couple of socks and put them into each other with a squeaker. This way Mikey hears the squeaker, but we don't. By the time he has pulled his Dog Nasty Dog Toys apart, we simply put them back together and VOILA!, playtime continues.

Who or what is Innovations from Aspirations LLC?

That's the business name of our company. We use this name for our banking, legal, and financing purposes. Are you still awake because that was boring.

How long does it take for shipping?
We ship domestically via US Mail, but will work with special shipping requests. If we don’t have the item in stock, you will be notified. Items are shipped within 24 hours of payment confirmation.

Are Dog Nasty Dog Toys indestructible?
Seriously? That is the dumbest question I have ever heard. There is no such thing as an indestructible dog toy. Your dog probably bites with over a 1000 pounds of force per square inch, and its mouth is littered with sharp teeth. If you don’t want a pet that bites through toys, get a fish.
